VOLKSWAGEN ARTEON

The new Arteon.

Design

Aerodynamic contours, frameless windows, a striking rear design – the Arteon’s allure endures far beyond the first encounter. And the R-Line trim level features additional exterior highlights that emphasise these dynamic elements.

Eye-catching. From any angle

The Arteon’s elongated contours and long wheelbase give it a highly distinctive profile – and an abundance of space wherever you are seated. The wrap-around emcompassing bonnet and frameless side windows are especially eye-catching and exude quality and elegance in the style of a classical fastback limousine.

Arteon.

The Arteon lettering on the rear holds out the promise of more; it is guaranteed to turn heads and leave a lasting impression. The name is taken from the Latin word for art and alludes to the coherent, aesthetic lines of the design.

Evocative lighting concept.
The  modern LED taillights are a token of the new Arteon’s potency and outstanding dynamic range. The optional dynamic turn signal featured in the R-Line and Elegance trim levels are a striking, safety-enhancing feature.

Space concept.

Fascination to touch in the new Arteon R-Line. The look-and-feel of the interior is truly inspirational.

Design, that you can feel.

The look-and-feel of the cockpit in Arteon’s new R-Line trim is truly inspirational. The multifunction, leather sports steering wheel bears the “R-Line” badge and boasts decorative stitching; it is complemented by “Silver Rise” inlays in aluminium. The optional “top-comfort” seats in “Nappa” leather with “carbon-style” inner faces of the side sections and decorative stitching and braiding, not to mention the “R-Line” badge embroidered into the front seats make each ride a feast for the senses.

Panoramic tilting/sliding sunroof and ambient lighting.

The new Arteon affords an incomparable field of vision. The optional panoramic tilting/sliding sunroof teamed with the pleasant ambient lighting inside are certain to brighten your day, whatever the weather.

Engines.

Beneath the bonnet of the new Arteon are a range of efficient engine and drive variants, providing maximum dynamism. For example, the Arteon Elegance and R-Line are available with a 176 kW (240 PS) biturbo engine (fuel consumption, l/100 km: urban 7,1 / non-urban 5,1 / combined 5,9; CO2 emissions combined, g/km: 152; efficiency class B*), which number among the most powerful diesel engines currently on the market. 4MOTION four-wheel drive, the XDS electronic differential lock and the DCC adaptive chassis control all come as standard with this engine.
The same applies to the Arteon’s leading petrol engine, which boasts an impressive 206 kW (280 PS) and is exclusively available for the equipment lines Elegance and R-Line. (Fuel consumption, l/100 km: urban 9,2 / rural 6,1 / combined 7,3; combined CO2 emissions, g/km: 164; efficiency class C*)
Throughout the year, more power classes for petrol and diesel engines will be available in addition to the current engine versions.

The entry-level petrol engine will be available to order in the second half of the year from just under €35,000. Our entry-level diesel engine will be available soon from €37,350. The petrol and diesel engine range will each include three power classes.
Comfort.
The features of the new Arteon are as impressive as the car itself. They turn every ride into a unique experience that will tantalise all your senses.

Cockpit.
Lean back and enjoy the exquisite interior with its exclusive materials and comfort. The optional 14-way ergoComfort seats in Nappa leather in the colours “mistral grey” and “raven grey” provide special support to the back.

Multifunction steering wheel and Active Info display.

The multifunction leather steering wheel* lets you stay in charge of the vehicle and your information while on the move. And with the innovative Active Info display, content such as rev counter, speedometer and mileage indicator – even detailed data on the trip and the various driver assistance systems – are arranged in your direct line of sight at the heart of the dash display. * For Elegance heated multifunction leather steering wheel available.

Spacious boot with easy-open and easy-close functions.

In the new Arteon, comfort and convenience begin even before you set off. Offering a good up to 563 litres of luggage space, the boot is generously proportioned by fastback limousine standards. And thanks to the easy-open function, a flick of the foot under the rear of the vehicle is all it takes to unlock the electric hatch. The time-delayed electric closing function means you can close the luggage compartment at the touch of a button, leaving you free to load and unload at your leisure.
Assistance systems.
Attention to detail: the new Arteon offers premium design as well as driving pleasure. It leads the way in terms of the latest driver assistance systems.

Adaptive Cruise Control with predictive cruise control.
By far one of the most useful driver assistance systems is Adaptive Cruise Control with predictive cruise control. You simply specify your top speed and the system makes sure you don’t exceed it. Also, a minimum distance is always maintained between you and the vehicle in front.
 Light Assist.

optional “Dynamic Light Assist” package optimises illumination of the carriageway by controlling the main beam automatically and ensuring greater visibility on the road.
Area View.
Keeping an eye on what’s around: the optional Area View function. Area View feeds live images from around your Arteon straight into the cockpit.
Lane Assist.
The standard Lane Assist function helps to prevent accidents caused by drivers unintentionally wandering out of their lane.

XDS.
Pure driving pleasure: the XDS electronic differential lock delivers improved traction and more responsive steering around bends, i.e. more agility during fast cornering.
Park Assist.
The optional park and steer assistant Park Assist manoeuvres you elegantly into your parking space. All you have to do is operate the accelerator, the clutch and the brake. The system takes care of the rest.
